There is no account to ban! So feel free to archive YT videos before these methods are not available anymore.
Some methods are:
1. Submit YouTube URL to the Wayback Machine, and the video may be archived on the Wayback Machine. I am not sure if it is still work now. Maybe works, but maybe not 100% of submitted vids, I guess.
Credits : https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/YouTube
Edit: It can be work!!!, as of 7 August 2024.
2. Submit YouTube URL to PreserveTube. preservetube.com New method!
Currently, no register (no create account and no login), and no limits of video content and genre!!!
I am not sure how long PreserveTube will survive, because it may need some quettabytes of storages (or at least, bigger storages than the Internet Archive, to keep YT vids), and I (currently) don't see both ads and donation links in PT.
Notes : Clean the YT URL before submit.
as of 9/9/2024
m.youtube.com is not submitable.
watch?app=desktop is not submitable.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID&t=956s is not submitable.
https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID?si=YjziZuccJeIE-b6z(something else) is not submitable.
3. Submit PreserveTube URL to Wayback Machine(!!!)
(I think this method maybe not works soon. Currently, I think WM can keep both the PT webpages and the video files, but maybe not 100% works.)
Notes : Should submit at https://web.archive.org/save/ and tick/check (select) the "Save outlinks" box before submit (because it will save the video file/link).
Or submit a PreserveTube URL to Wayback Machine, and, after that, submit the URL of video file (in PreserveTube) to Wayback Machine !!!
4. Submit YouTube URL to Ghost Archive ghostarchive.org New method!
Notes : YT Shorts URL https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ should be convert to normal YT URL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=
5. Submit Ghost Archive URL to Wayback Machine(!!!)
(I think this method maybe not works soon. Currently, I think WM can keep both the GA webpages and the video files, but maybe not 100% works.)
6. If the channel/video meets the criteria set by Archiveteam, queue channel/video to be archived in channel #down-the-tube (on hackint). https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/YouTube
Examples:
* Channels/videos almost sure to be deleted
* Channels of companies that going/gone/announced bankrupt / defunct / closed permanently
* Channels of a person who died / YouTuber (or channel owner) died
* YouTube banning certain channel/content
* "Unlisted" videos (hidden from YouTube search, only accessible by URL)
* Advertisement video that YouTube actually treats as advertisement
* Current major events (terror attacks, wars, etc.)
Examples in 2024: Ukraine war 2024, Israel/Palestine war 2024, Myanmar war 2024, etc.

For the very important videos: Use all methods, especially method 1 (YouTube to Wayback Machine) and 3 (YouTube to PreserveTube, then both PreserveTube page URL and video file URL to Wayback Machine).
For the most important video(s): Use ALL methods, and download the video(s) into your device(s).
