Crash to Fire in 60 Seconds: Why China Banned Electric Door Handles

h0ngcom doesn't stereotype them, but this case looks so bad. Looks very unsafe. Looks too easy to caught fire. That makes EV looks bad. That makes anti-EV movements stronger.

Gas cars are not so easy to caught fire after crash like this (h0ngcom mean this EV car/model). So it's easy to say that gas cars are much safer (than this EV car/model).

Before the video clip, the car is crashed, then it spins as the video showed.

We Found The Best Chinese Cars of 2025

No surprise that Geely Xingyuan wins the best hatchback.

Whoever wins... BYD loses.

Top 10 Best Selling Electric Cars in Australia in January 2026 - Tesla Crashing!?

Counts as models, not brands, BYD wins.

We already seen he is pro-Xpeng and pro-Zeekr/Geely.

No wonder why eViking doesn't agree with the BYD's winning, and said about how bad Sealion7 is.

However, at least, Sealion7 and Atto2 are pure electric cars, not PHEV.

Of course, EV fans themselves have different opinions and tastes, likes and dislikes of EV brands and models.

He and me are not the same.

However, I would like to thank him for his continuous contribution to advancing the EV society.

* Note: Atto2 and Atto1 (Seagull) are not yet available in Thailand, and unlikely to, despite we use RHD cars like Australia.
I guess it's because the price ranges: can't separate Atto2 and Atto1 much from Atto3 and Dolphin, respectively.
In my opinion, without Atto1, BYD has NOTHING to slower the sales of Geely EX2 and maybe also Aion UT.

The King Has Fallen: Geely Dethrones BYD as China’s #1 Car Brand

For sinoelectroautophiles, this is very predictable. As Geely's growth will make Geely beats BYD soon, and the best-selling car of 2025 in China is already a Geely car: the Geely Xingyuan/EX2. And of course, we know that Geely (ZGH) owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, etc. How great Geely is.

Of course, this pro-Geely YT channel don't miss out on bringing this news.

The BYD's lose is much faster than h0ngcom think.

However, in Thailand, Geely distributors and service centers still not cover all provinces in Thailand yet. It is still quite behind "the main car brands" in Thailand. Making some people (in some provinces) still not yet comfortable enough to buying and using a Geely.

This EV Dealership Went Bankrupt Before Opening (Hundreds of Cars Left Behind)

This is in the south of France: Lescure d'Albigeois (Tarn), close to Albi.

SN Diffusion invested 2 million euros to become the sole importer of the Leapmotor brand in Europe. CEO Didier Sirgue bought a stock of 1,000 vehicles in 2021.

At the end of 2023, Stellantis, sensing a good opportunity, signs a partnership with Leapmotor, acquiring 21% of the Chinese brand and becoming its de facto international distributor. The direct consequence: SN Diffusion is ousted from the brand's distribution.

It’s not a showroom
1: they would never have so many of the same car on display
2: no infrastructure to sell to customers
3: charging cables just sitting everywhere
4: no advertising material for the brand
5: cars in showrooms are pre-delivered and detailed, these are not

The title "Saving fuel so much, only to end up paying hundreds of thousands of baht. 3 cautionary cases."

Expensive repair (or sometimes irreparable) makes EV uneconomical if it crashed.

h0ngcom still hoping the EVs in the future will be cheaper in fixing, as cheap as fixing "normal cars" or even better.

However, some modern gas cars are expensive to repair (after crashed) too. So h0ngcom think this may not be a good reason to anti EV. The problem is not gas or electric. The problem is car accident.
