NIKKEI Film: The sound of engines vanishing in Thailand

H0ngcom :

Finally, it is translated !!!

And, as I expected. The tone of presentation is making Chinese automakers villains. BYD is literally PUBLIC ENEMY. Or at least, Japan's enemy. The video does not said that, both directly and indirectly, but with that tone of video presentation, I see.

A scene is showing about some Japanese-brand car dealers are converted into BYD. It is showing like that "many Japanese car dealers" are converted. But it does not show that the most Japanese-brand car dealers are remain the same, not convert.

A scene is showing that employees of Japanese cars are decrease, except Toyota. I think it means that "almost all roads of fuel car buyers are going to Toyota", "almost all roads of Japanese car buyers are going to Toyota". Japanese cars can't be extinct.

Boonsithi Chokwatana is the chairman of Saha Group. The video said that he bought a BYD Seal. So he is a BYD Seal owner. I think that is a strange decision.
(Some youtube user comments said he is a Thai-Chinese, but I think that is not matter, because many Thai people are of Chinese descendants too.)
First, he is not poor at all. He can avoid Chinese cars, but he doesn't do that. (I even think he can be like Kim Phornprapha (Kim is a well-known car collector) if he wants to. However, he is old now.)
Second, Chinese-car users still facing social unaccepting. It is very contrast with him, who is highly social accepted.
Third, I personally see most Thai people of his age (60 years old and more) are reject EVs. 3.1) Fears of fires or explosions. 3.2) Reject or anti Chinese products
The scenes even showing more contrast view: Boonsithi speaking Japanese in his scenes, even when he talking about his car.

EV Girls giving good points. People of the previous generations in general are believe to Japanese products and brands.
(I want to add that I (h0ngcom) is now 37 years old, not young anymore but also not that old gens, but trust in Japanese products too.)
People of the newer generations are less caring about nationality of products and brands.
(I will adding that some of them dare to try high-price Chinese products such as cars.)

Don't worry, Japan. People still love analog cars and analog era.

The forecast is, EV sales are 50.7% in Thailand in 2035. I don't think so. I think Japanese automakers can slow it down.
In Toyota Honda Isuzu, We Trust.
Most people don't like Chinese products aka Chinese crap.
People don't trust in Chinese products, Chinese batteries, Chinese cars.
People fears of EV fires, EV explosions, house fires, etc.
Thai people can't wait for charging EVs.
EV users facing social unaccepting, especially on social networks. (Anti-EV sentiments are high among people.)

No. Not just cars. But ALL PRODUCTS. Japanese are better or sounds better than Chinese products.
Chinese batteries are not good too in people's minds.
