Media reports say #BYD has achieved a major breakthrough in all-solid-state batteries: its self-developed sulfide-based technology is now ready for mass production and vehicle integration.

• Its battery has passed CATARC's full suite of automotive-grade extreme safety certifications.

In nail penetration tests, cell temperature rose only 32°C with no fire, smoke, or explosion, addressing thermal runaway at the structural level.

• A prototype delivers 1,218 km CLTC range and supports 5C ultra-high-rate fast charging (10-minute top-up for hundreds of kilometers). Range degradation at –30°C is also substantially reduced.

• Rollout plan: first in Q1 2027, Yangwang and other high-end flagship models; then cascading to mid-range models such as Tang and Seal from 2028–2029, achieving full-lineup technology penetration.
